The quote above from Rumi captures what it truly means to be a Life Coach. Your Life Coach is not a therapist or a counsellor. A Life Coach is a trained and licensed individual who helps people find the answers that lie within them. A Life Coach is a compassionate confidant but not a shoulder to cry on. The Coach should never want you to cry and linger over your problems, but rather help you to acknowledge the issue, find the root cause, help you process the negative emotions related to the problem and ultimately devise an action plan that leads you to the life you’ve always wanted.

A Life Coach is armed with a variety of skills and tools. The ability to “ask the right questions” is one of those, along with NLP exercises and hypnotherapy. All these tools, used in the correct way, will help the client find the answers to their questions and the solutions to their problems. No matter how hidden the answers may seem, or how obscure the causes may be, they do exist somewhere deep down in our subconscious mind or even deeper in our unconscious mind.

Every day we wake up having to face certain choices and make some decisions. Profound or trivial, these choices and decisions shape us and impact our life, therefore it is paramount to have our minds in order and our life under control. You, as the client, are the only true expert when it comes to your life. You are the only one who truly knows who you are, what you need and what is ultimately best for you. Life Coaches are simply experts in the coaching process to guide you through the process. As your Coach, my sole purpose is to help you discover the best “you”
